A widely practiced, stress-reducing meditation technique significantly decreases the severity of congestive heart failure, according to a first-of-its-kind randomized study published in Ethnicity & Disease (Winter 2007).
The pioneers in homeopathy were active in Norway at the end of the last century. One was O. M. Ohm (1848-1928) who, in 1892, published a small book; Practical Homeopathy For Everyone. Another pioneer was N. W. Anderschou who practiced in Oslo and, persecuted by the allopaths, moved to London.
Increasing evidence suggests that transcendental meditation may not only reduce stress, but also may help adults with high blood pressure to live longer, according to a new study.
In many countries throughout the world, people are going to naturopathic physicians when faced with a health issue. Unfortunately, where I live in Vancouver, (British Columbia, Canada) the government is planning to cut back the scope of naturopathic medicine by imposing controls on what a naturopathic physician can and cannot do. The B.C. government does not allow naturopathic physicians to have access to medical labs and x-rays or to prescribe medications. The proposed changes include limiting the ability of naturopathic physicians to perform physical exams, diagnose and treat food allergies and place severe restrictions on the medicines ND’s use to treat patients. We must not lose the right of choice and the right to choose!

Homeopathy is big news these days. During the last twenty years the number of people using homeopathy has increased significantly. Despite this, there are still far too many myths and misunderstandings about the science and the way it works. Dr. Raaj Swetta sets the record straight on this ancient form of healing.
