The science of homoeopathy is based on the trio of similimum, single and minimum. The minimum stands for the infinitely small dose of the homoeopathic medicine chosen on the lines Hahnemann suggested.
It is an incident I encountered at All India Homoeopathic Seminar held first time at Kanpur (1981?). During the break I was sitting at the stall of Wheezal Lab. Pvt. Ltd. whence I saw a lady, who was very dirty, she appeared as if she had been bathing in oil and had not been washing, her clothes were also in the same shape. Nearly 1600 delegates attended the seminar; most of them were strolling at the numerous stalls at that time. The aforesaid lady was begging the attention of the delegates (Homoeopathic physicians) requesting to look at her ailment and help her. But no one was paying any heed to her request.
D.R.A. Age 43 years, First visit 7-3-1996. The patient was suffering from Bronchial Asthma since 1973. The attacks used to precipitate during every change of climate, preceded by acute coryza and sneezing bouts followed by breathlessness. Homeopathy is a subject like story of wild elephant understood by five blind men. After Hahnemann all the successing mentors could be like the blind men gave different concepts for the followers to grople about on and on with. Only few saw some what little light in the cave.
Though the present science of psychiatry is merely hundred years old, but Great Hahnemann realized the value of mental symptoms in the early nineteenth century. And that is the reason, he has given more importance to the mental symptoms. He has put MIND in the first place in the Materia Medica. The patient is an obese lady (HK__), age 46, presented the following symptoms of Dysuria (on 25.6.2002):

The theory of one medicine per person is the basic fundamental truth. When Hahnemann initially propagated this concept, there was a real large meaning in this. It means one constitutional medicine. In other words, constitutional medicine should never be changed in the whole life of the patient. But when a new concept of homoeopathy was discovered, things were bound to be still to be known much.
Primarily it will be needed to streamline homoeopathy education and practice across India today. Education in colleges has gone topsy tarvy (different methods wrote in different books and taught differently by the teachers). There is no uniformity among teaching faculty and no single word is spoken to the innocent students about the precautions to be used while prescribing. The basic and primary need in Homeopathy is Precaution, precaution and more precaution. Following requirements are to be attended by one and all. Otherwise this subject may pose a challenge as well as a fearsome block to the practicing lot.
