Molluscum Contagiosum :: A case of Molluscum Contagiosum – Malaria Off.

A young boy in his teens was brought by his parents for consultation. He was of thin built, wheatish complexion, having numerous eruptions on face and limbs with characteristic pitting on the top. He had been having these eruptions for few years and though he had been under much treatment both allopathic and homoeopathic he had not improved.

Osteosarcoma :: A case of Osteosarcoma – Thyroidinum

A 14 years old girl of thin built, wheatish complexion and limping gait was brought to me by her parents for consultation. She had pain and swelling in right leg just below the knee joint since 2 1/2 years. The swelling was reddish and shiny (ANGRY APPEARANCE). With my poor knowledge of clinical medicine I asked them if it is a case of cancer? The parents replied that it had been diagnosed as a case of Osteosarcoma of Right upper Tibia. (So many times we see patients who try to test the clinical acumen of the Homoeopathic physicians by hiding the diagnosis till the very last moment!)

Homeopathy :: Homoeopathy n Case Taking

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY CASE TAKING: – To find out the most similimum drug after getting the totality (qualitative & quantitative data) of the given case. With a good case taking more than half the battle is won. Dr Hahnemann has clearly mentioned some instructions regarding case taking in the 5th edition of Organon’s Aphorism no.43-104, 139-141,150-152,147-171.Also in the aphorism no he has cautioned us to be unprejudiced observer. That means; before case taking, the physician should be unconditioned with respect to his moods, unbiased with respect to his drugs, flexible like amoeba to take 100% impression. This and above all we should be a KEEN OBSERVER.

Arthritis :: Homeopathic Medicines for Arthritis

Sir William Osler, known as the “Father of Modern Medicine,” once said, “When an arthritis patient walks in the front door, I feel like leaving by the back door.” There is one simple reason that Dr. Osler and many other conventional physicians since him have difficulty facing arthritic patients: there is little that conventional medicine offers them. The lucky ones get temporary relief along with drug side effects; the unlucky ones only get the side effects.

Menopause :: HRT simply has no effect

Confounding a widely held impression, a large US government study has found that hormone therapy for menopause does not affect quality of life. Women taking the drugs did not feel more energetic, or have more sexual pleasure or even more restful sleep. They were not less depressed, their minds were no clearer and their memories did not appear to have improved.

Warts :: Homeopathy and Wart

The paper describes two studies, one to evaluate the efficacy of selected homeopathic drugs in the treatment of warts and secondly to evaluate the efficacy of Calc carb in the treatment of Molluscum contagiosum. Warts are one of the most common dermatological disorders. They are caused by DNA viruses, which grow in the epidermis. The source of infection is uncertain; it may be from infected individuals by direct contact, although the degree of infectivity is very low. Casual contact is unlikely to cause infection.

Allergies :: Homeopathy and allergic hay fever

Homeopathy has been scientifically proven to treat hay fever just as well as conventional medicine and certainly better than placebo, without any side effects from the medication. A homeopath treats the symptoms of the hay fever, and also the entire individual, thus strengthening the immunity of the person and reducing the severity of the attacks. There are many factors behind hay fever, or any disease, and homeopathy looks to find the individual patterns and reasons for a complaint.
