Its chief sphere of usefulness is in suppurative processes, as abscesses, joint-disease, carbuncle; scrofulous affections of the bone, rachitis, Pott?s disease, necrosis, etc.; glandular affections; eczema and eruptions inclined to ulcerate; old, offensive catarrhs; all sorts of abscesses, as tonsilitis and hepatic abscesses; cough of phthisis, with very fetid expectoration; bronchorrhoea, especially of old people.

Ingrowing nail or Onychocryptosis, commonly known as ingrown nails (unguis incarnatus), is a common form of nail disease. It is a painful condition in which the nail grows or cuts into one or both sides of the nail bed. While ingrown nails can occur in both the nails of the hand and feet, they occur most commonly with toenails.
A good time to do your manicure is after you have taken a shower, bath or after washing the dishes. This is because these activities remove the dirt from under the nail.
The nail is made of a hard protein called keratin – a protein which is one of the building blocks which make up the body. The nails help protecting the ends of the fingers and toes from trauma, and also help us picking up small objects.
