Amrinder Singh to fight against Arun Jaitley from Amritsar

Former Chief Minister of Punjab and Congress leader Captain Amarinder Singh will contest against BJP leader Arun Jaitley from Amritsar Lok Sabha seat in Punjab.

Former Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni has been nominated from Anandpur Sahib replacing its earlier candidate Ravneet Singh Bittu.

Releasing its fifth list of 26 candidates for Lok Sabha Polls today, the Congress replaced its candidate in Gopalganj in Bihar and gave ticket to Dr Jyoti in place of Purnmasi Ram, who will now contest from Valmiki Nagar Parliamentary Constituency.

The list was announced by the party General Secretary Madhusudan Mistry at a press conference in New Delhi this evening. Manas Bhunia will be the party candidate for Ghatal seat in West Bengal and Indrani Mishra from Asansol.
