National Excellence Award for two female homoeopaths

India Nirman Organisation and Women International Network (WIN) in association with North East Council, Ministry of DoNER, Govt. of India conferred 5th National Women Excellence Award 2012 in the category of ‘NAV KIRAN AWARD’ to two Female Medical Officers working in the Directorate of ISM & Homoeopathy, Dept. of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.

The award was presented to Dr. Anju Jethani, Senior Medical Officer at Medical Center, High Court of Delhi and Dr. Shelly Arora, Medical Officer at Delhi Govt. Garhi Dispensary in recognition of their contributions in the field of Homoeopathy and as appreciation of woman’s role in medicine.

The award was conferred by Smt. Sharmistha Mukherjee, famous dancer & daughter of Honorable President of India, Sh. Pranab Mukerjee on 25th Nov. 2012 at India International Center in presence of Capt. Jainarayan Prasad Nishad, Honorable Member of Parliament.

The award ceremony was presided over by Sh. Mohammad Azharuddin, well known cricketer and Honorable Member of Parliament.

Interestingly both Dr. Anju Jethani and Dr. Shelly Arora have been nurtured by Progressive Homoeopathic Society under the tutelage of Prof. L.M. Khan. It was a privilege for homoeopathic fraternity that Women International Network has for the first time bestowed this award upon two homoeopathic practitioners.
