Homeopathic Medicine :: Iodium – Iodine

Indicated in ailments of scrofulous persons of dark complexion, with induration of glands (including testicles, ovaries, liver, pancreas, mesentery, thyroid, etc.), who eat much and often, yet are scrawny and lose flesh constantly; often called for in wasting diseases.

Of service in cough, especially laryngeal; in croup, with copious expectoration of blood-stained mucus.

Great prostration; even talking causes perspiration.

Emaciation of single parts, as dwindling away of mammae.

Ravenous hunger, but gets thin; wants to eat every little while, and for a time feels the better for it.

Constant empty eructations.

Indurations and hypertrophy of glands.

Larynx painful, raw, with difficult perspiration.

Cough from tickling behind the sternum, low in the chest.

Cough dry, hoarse, worse in warm, wet weather, with wheezing, sawing breathing.

Leucorrhoea, corrosive, staining skin and linen.

Cancer of the uterus, with copious uterine haemorrhage at every stools, with cutting in abdomen and pains in the loins and small of the back.

Worse from warmth; from eating.
