Maharashtra govt reduces power tariff by 15-20%

The Maharashtra government today approved a proposal to cut power tariff by 15 to 20 per cent across state’s agriculture, commercial, industrial and domestic consumers.

According to Chief Secretary (Energy), Ajay Mehta, household consumers will get a concession of around 20 per cent upto 300 units.

However, this decision will not be applicable to Mumbai’s consumers.
