World Egg Day – second Friday of October every year

World Egg Day is being celebrated today. This day celebrated on the second Friday of October every year to  raise awareness about nutritional benefit of eggs. The egg is a wholesome nutritious food with high nutrient density and it provides 12 percent of the daily value of protein besides other nutrients including vitamins, amino acid and minerals.

Several functions will be organized to create  awareness about the importance of egg in human nutrition across the country.

How to Celebrate World Egg Day

Eat eggs. Boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, fried eggs on toast, even French toast, (because obviously that has eggs in it) for breakfast.

For lunch and dinner you can eat eggs in a salad, egg-salad-sandwich, or any of the above breakfast options if you would like.

If you want to make things interesting, you can color your eggs like you would Easter eggs (but some people might think that they are actually left over from Easter!)

Don’t eat raw eggs, they could make you sick!
