UT Southwestern Medical Center?s 2007 Annual Women?s Health Symposium, scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb_6, will focus on health strategies for women of all ages.
?A Day for Women?s Health? will include presentations by and discussions with leading physicians from UT Southwestern. It will take place on UT Southwestern?s North Campus, in the Excellence in Education Foundation Auditorium in the Simmons/Hamon Biomedical Research Buildings, 6000 Harry Hines Blvd.
The event, sponsored by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Klinger Advanced Aesthetics, will include discussions on advances in eye surgery and options in cosmetic surgery, and a panel discussion titled ?Hot Topics: The Mind,? that will address learning differences, headaches and Alzheimer?s disease.
The symposium is co-chaired by Barbara Stuart and Melissa Macatee. This year?s steering committee members are Harriet Burrow, Leslie W. el-Effendi, Nancy Perot Mulford, Lizzie Routman, Nancy Shutt and Diana Strauss. Ruth Altshuler is honorary chair; Carolyn Horchow and Patricia Patterson are founding co-chairs.
