Prostate :: Aspirin reduces enlarged prostate problems and BHP

Scientists at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota found that taking aspirin and other similar painkillers, may reduce the risk of developing an enlarged prostate by at least 50 percent.

Researchers – led by Jenny St Sauver at Minnesota’s Mayo Clinic examined the impact of taking Non Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs – because the drugs had previously been linked to a reduced risk of prostate cancer.

Researchers said that Non Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs reduce men’s risk, but would not that recommend all men take the medication.

The result of the study appears in the American Journal of Epidemiology.
