Pink City Jaipur enters UNESCO World Heritage Site list

Pink City Jaipur, known for its iconic architectural legacy and vibrant culture, has made its entry into the UNESCO World Heritage Site list.

The decision was taken at the 43rd session of the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO at Baku in Azerbaijan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed happiness that the city has been recognised as a World Heritage Site.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said recognition will give a boost to tourism.

Union Culture Minister Prahlad Singh Patel has expressed his happiness for inclusion of Jaipur in world heritage list and congratulated people for this prestigious tag.
