Mumbai Cricket Association felicitates Sachin Tendulkar

The Mumbai Cricket Association – MCA, on Monday, held a grand felicitation ceremony to honour the Little Master who is scheduled to play his last test match this week. Addressing the gathering, an overwhelmed Tendulkar said that he appreciates not just this evening but the last 24 years.

Sachin Tendulkar also thanked the MCA for providing its facilities available to him whenever he required.

Sachin added that MCA is a great platform for the next generation who can make use of its right guidance, coaching and right facilities. Also present on the occasion, MCA’s newly-elected President Sharad Pawar said Tendulkar has been a precious jewel of the MCA.

Mr. Pawar added that Sachin has been a great ambassador for not only the game of cricket but also for sporting community and a great role model for the youngsters to follow.

Echoing Mr. Pawar’s sentiments, Maharashtra Chief minister, Prithviraj Chavan said Sachin has given India years and years of sporting pleasure and world cricket will surely miss him. During the ceremony, the MCA also formally renamed the Kandivili ground as the Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana Club.
