Multiple Sclerosis :: Access to flu vaccinations

The MS Trust is concerned that people with multiple sclerosis MS are not getting access to flu vaccinations.

The NICE Guideline recognises that infections can worsen MS symptoms and says that people with MS should be offered immunisation.

Unfortunately, this year there is a particular problem with the production of sufficient flu vaccinations, which means that priority has been decided in terms of age. This means that some people who might previously have been eligible, including people with MS, are not able to be vaccinated.

The MS Trust is in contact with the Department of Health and continues to draw attention to the potential problems this might cause for people with MS.
