Moily invites proposal from Uttarakhand C M for innovation of flood effected monuments

The Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas Dr. M. Veerappa Moily has written to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand to inviting suitable proposals regarding restoration/restructuring of the monuments affected in the recent floods in the State. He added that further necessary action in the matter would be taken thereafter.

In a letter sent yesterday, the Minister also said that in addition to the financial contribution of Rs 12 crore, Oil PSUs would undertake rehabilitation work in terms of adoption of villages and rebuilding the affected infrastructure in the State of Uttarakhand. The PSUs would also carry out restoration/rehabilitation work of the monuments affected by the floods in consultation with Archeological Survey of India and the Government of Uttarakhand.
