India beat Pak by 7 wickets – ICC Twenty-20

India defeated their arch rivals Pakistan by 7 wickets in their opening group league game of the ICC World Cup Twenty-20 at Mirpur.

Chasing the target of 131 runs, set by Pakistan, India reached the target in 18.3 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.

Suresh Raina 35 and Virat Kohli 36 remain not out.

Earlier winning the toss and electing to field, India restricted Pakistan to a modest 130 for seven in the stipulated twenty overs.

Umar Akmal remained the top scorer for Pakistan making 33 off 30 balls while Ahmed Shehzad and Sohaib Maqsood chipped in with 22 and 21 respectively.

For India, Amit Mishra scalped two Pakistan batsmen while Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket each.
