Heart :: Woodland Healthcare hosts free heart fair for women

Women at Heart – A Healthy Living Event for Women provides a unique opportunity for women to see how some surprising activities and indulgences can actually improve their heart health.

The goal of this exciting event is to celebrate American Heart Month and to remind women that although heart disease is their number one killer, there are simple (and fun!) things they can do to help keep themselves healthy.

Heart disease is the number one killer of American women, according to the American Heart Association. Contrary to popular belief, more women than men die of heart disease in America. And, heart disease kills more women than cancer.

All women are invited to this free event featuring wonderful samplings of dark chocolate, red wine, imported coffee, music and massage. Woodland Healthcare physicians will be available to address questions about women?s health. In addition to these heart healthy treats, women will also have the opportunity to learn how to reduce stress and lead healthier lives through measuring and monitoring their body fat and sampling low fat recipes.
