Join patients and staff members from the Program in Heart Failure and Transplantation for the second annual ?And the Beat Goes On? fundraiser May 18 at the Burgundy Basin Inn, 1361 Marsh Road, Pittsford.
There will be a buffet-style chicken barbecue; dancing; raffles and door prizes; and great live bands, including Me & the Boyz and Second Chance. Second Chance drummer Tom Arcara of Spencerport is a transplant patient who received a new heart in 2005.
Proceeds will be used for the Patient Care fund, which provides emergency funding for necessities some patients have difficulty affording, and for future development of a hospitality house that will assist with the needs of adult critical care patients and their families.
