Healthcare :: Americans are upset over rising health-care costs

Rising health care costs are a primary driver of American?s increasing dissatisfaction with the nation?s health care system, the 2006 Health Confidence Survey (HCS) shows. Many Americans report that rising health care costs have hurt their household finances and believe that steps should be taken to slow the increases.

The nonprofit Employee Benefit Research Institute has released its latest health confidence survey, and it finds less than 20 percent of Americans are satisfied with the cost of health insurance and what is covered.
