?The health and welfare of our guests and employees is always our top priority,? said Ken Keane, president of Garden Fresh Restaurant Corp., parent company of Souplantation. ?We are working with the Health Care Agency to investigate the contamination source and remain committed to the highest level of quality, cleanliness and service.?
The company has been working around the clock with agency officials in Santa Ana to identify the source of the contamination which is unknown. The continuing investigation will attempt to identify food items that may be implicated.
Souplantation owns and operates 34 locations in Southern California. The investigation is limited to the Foothill Ranch location, as food served at the restaurant is prepared in the company?s central kitchen which supplies the nine Souplantation restaurants in Orange County and there have been no reported cases from guests who dined at other locations during the identified time period.
