Arthritis :: Sulfur-Based Supplement May Fight Arthritis

In a 12-week randomized double-blind study, Arizona doctors from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe and the Arthritis Health Center in Scottsdale, gave 25 patients with knee arthritis 3 grams of methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) twice daily.

The researchers found that the subjects taking MSM, a natural sulfur compound, had improved functioning and reduced pain, compared to the control group.
