An itch (Latin: pruritus) is a sensation felt on an area of skin that makes a person or animal want to scratch it. It is a distressing symptom that can cause discomfort. Scratching may cause breaks in the skin that may result in infection.

A sunburn is a radiation burn to the skin produced by overexposure to ultraviolet (UV) light, commonly from the sun’s rays. A similar burn can be produced by overexposure to other sources of UV, such as tanning lamps and welding arcs. Exposure of the skin to lesser amounts of UV will often produce a suntan.
Radiodermatitis is a skin disease associated with prolonged exposure to radiation.
Hypertrichosis, or Human Werewolf Syndrome, is a medical term referring to a condition of excessive body hair.

While ingrown nails can occur in both the nails of the hand and feet, they occur most commonly with toenails.
Beau’s lines are deep grooved lines that run from side to side on the fingernail. They may look like indentations or ridges in the nail plate.
The nail is made of a hard protein called keratin – a protein which is one of the building blocks which make up the body. The nails help protecting the ends of the fingers and toes from trauma, and also help us picking up small objects.
