Through the generous support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is pleased to announce the inaugural recipients of the 2007 BCRF-AACR Grants in Translational Breast Cancer Research. These grants provide direct support for innovative breast cancer research projects designed to accelerate the discovery, development, and application of new ways to treat breast cancer, or for preclinical research with direct therapeutic implications.

Salmonellosis :: US warns consumers about recalled frozen pot pies possibly linked to salmonellosis

Dr. Damon T. Arnold, state public health director, is warning consumers today about frozen pot pies that could be linked to a multi-state outbreak of salmonellosis. ConAgra Foods is voluntarily recalling an undetermined amount of all varieties of frozen pot pie products they produce under multiple brand names, including chicken, turkey and beef.

This new technology means vets will be able to diagnose diseases in livestock and birds in the field in less than 90 minutes rather than having to send samples for laboratory analysis.
