Kids allowed to join groups for complex reasons

New research at the University of Maryland looks at why kids decide to include — and exclude — other kids from their group of friends. It turns out the decision making process is much more complex than previously believed, and could even provide insights into how to intervene when children are rejected by their peers.

Vitamin B :: Folate and B12 may influence cognition in seniors

Folate may protect cognition in seniors, but only with adequate levels of vitamin B12. In an epidemiological study, low B-vitamin status was associated with anemia and cognitive impairment. Low vitamin B12 status was especially linked to these conditions if seniors also had high folate in the blood.
