Psychology :: Psychology of Driving – Ban Mobile phones while driving cars

Mobile phones should be banned from cars altogether, claims a Sussex University psychologist. In his new book, The Psychology of Driving, Dr Graham Hole says that his research indicates that the problem with mobiles is not that they require the removal of hands from the vehicles? controls, but that they take drivers? attention away from the road.

He argues that hands-free phones should thus be banned as well as conventional ones.
