Sunanda Pushkar’s post mortem suggests that death occurred due to drug overdose

A three-member team of AIIMS submits preliminary findings of post mortem of Sunanda Pushkar to SDM investigating the case. Doctors of AIIMS, who had conducted the autopsy on said preliminary findings indicate that Sunanda Pushkar may have died of a drug overdose.

The autopsy report was submitted in the evening to Alok Sharma, Sub Divisional Magistrate, who is investigating the case.

Refusing to disclose the details of the autopsy report, the magistrate said he would examine it along with the statements of various people including Tharoor and Sunanda’s brother and other evidence.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police officials said they were awaiting the SDM’s report before they could decide on their future action.
