Salmonella :: Morrisons recalls leaf salad

The Food Standards Agency has today been informed that Morrisons is withdrawing packs of its own brand pre-packed leaf salad because of possible salmonella contamination.

The affected bags of salad are Morrisons? own brand Mixed Leaf Salad with Red Chard with use by dates of 29 April 2007.

No other products are affected.

Morrisons has withdrawn all bags with the date codes from sale. Recall notices have been placed at the point of sale and the Customer Service desk in all stores. Morrisons have confirmed that all stores have removed the affected salad from sale.

Salmonella can cause diarrhoea and sickness. People who have already bought any of the potentially affected salad should throw them away and return the packaging to Morrisons.
