Ryan Dunn died in the car accident

On June 20, 2011, at around 3:30 a.m. EDT, Ryan Dunn and a passenger died on the West Chester Bypass (US 322) when Dunn’s Porsche 911 GT3 came off the road and hit a tree in West Goshen Township, Pennsylvania.

Police said speed might have been a factor in the accident. Dunn had posted a photo on Twitter of himself drinking with friends a few hours before, but toxicology tests can take up to six weeks.

Ryan Matthew Dunn was an American reality television personality and daredevil best known for being a member of the Jackass crew and a cast member on Viva La Bam. Dunn also hosted the shows Homewrecker and Proving Ground. A member of the CKY Crew, Dunn played the main character in Bam Margera’s 2003 film Haggard, which was based on a failed relationship Dunn had experienced.

Dunn was born in Medina, Ohio, and grew up in Williamsville, New York, before moving to West Chester, Pennsylvania, with his parents in his early teens. He first came into public attention while appearing in four videos alongside his friends in the CKY Crew, which stood for “Camp Kill Yourself”.

On June 20, 2011, Dunn died from injuries sustained in a car crash in West Goshen Township, Pennsylvania.
