How it works
A small skin tissue biopsy is taken from behind the ear which is then sent off to the Isolagen laboratories. Over the next 8 weeks, your skin tissue sample will be cultivated to produce your own collagen-producing cells. By the end of this 8 week period, these cells will have reached the appropriate fibroblast population and will be ready for injection.
Once injected, the fibroblasts start producing the essential new collagen that enhance and support the structure of the skin, giving it new life and dramatically reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The Isolagen Technology is also great for treating acne and facial scars; by injecting the fibroblasts directly below the scar tissue it will produce the new collagen which will aid the rebuilding of a smoother skin surface.
