Genetic testing of men with non-obstructive azoospermia or congenital (being born with) absence of the vas deferens may be helpful to identify the cause of the infertility and assure the man that he did not cause his own infertility.
Genetic testing may also help to identify which of the fertilized embryos are healthiest and not affected by any genetic defects.
