The Royal Society of Medicine, the UK?s largest provider of continuing medical education, has today published a new guide aimed at students and junior doctors.
A Career in Medicine: do you have what it takes? outlines the process and decisions required for students seeking to undertake a medical degree. And with the introduction of a new career structure for junior doctors following the Government?s establishment of Modernising Medical Careers, the book also provides information on career progression for junior doctors.
Dr Rameen Shakur1, the book?s editor, said: ?A Career in Medicine will dispel some of the myths about the medical profession and provides indispensable advice to enhance a student?s chance of getting into the medical school of his or her choice.
