Health :: TAS Innovation To Help Manage Chronic Disease

An innovative Hobart company has developed a system for hospitals and clinics which will prove invaluable in the management of chronic diseases.

Australian Industry Minister, Ian Macfarlane, today announced an Australian Government Commercialising Emerging Technologies (COMET) grant to help Health-Vista Pty Ltd take the product to market.

Mr Macfarlane said the novel chronic disease management system is designed for clinics, hospitals and organisations with significant IT infrastructure, as well as for remote or undeveloped communities.

“The e-commerce product will provide affordable management solutions for specific diseases which are quick to download, install, deploy and use,” Mr Macfarlane said.

“The system will aide decision making by health professionals and contains patient data in a secure yet easy to access data repository.”
