Health :: NHS ‘not checking infection spread’

The worrying state of infection control practices in the NHS has been revealed in a damning new report.

The study, by the Patients Association, reveals a growing unease among health professionals that a lack of proper practices is endangering patients’ lives.

It found 93% of health professionals had to spend time reassuring patients about catching infections while receiving treatment in hospital. Time needed for this was reducing actual caring time.
