Exhibition on Indian Therapies

The country’s centuries-old therapeutic heritage will find an impressive display at an exclusive five-day health exhibition, ‘Arogya 2003’, which opens here in Delhi.

The exhibition covering the whole spectrum of the Indian systems of medicine and homoeopathy will be inaugurated by Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Sushma Swaraj.

The five-day event will familiarise people with the systems of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, Homoeopthy, Yoga and Naturopathy, along with herbal, colour, gem and music therapies as practised in the country over centuries.

More than 100 leading Indian organisations including manufacturers, practitioners, research institutes/departments, insurance companies and organisations related to health tourism are participating in the event.

A number of seminars, lectures and speciality clinics will be held during the exhibition.

The event is being organised jointly by the India Trade Promotion Centre (ITPO) and the Department of Indian System of Medicine and Homoeopathy, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare at the Pragati Maidan, an ITPO release said here today.
