Entering poll fray from Varanasi to defeat Modi, says Kejriwal

Aam Aadmi Party Convener Arvind Kejriwal has said that his decision to enter the electoral fray from Varanasi is not a symbolic gesture, but to defeat BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi.

Speaking at a conference in New Delhi yesterday, Kejriwal said he will ask the people of Varanasi whether he should contest against Modi or not. He said, if they say yes, he will contest against Modi.

Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal’s Varanasi rally has been postponed by two days. It will now be held on the 25th of this month.

The district adminstration denied permission to hold the rally on the 23rd in view of the Legislative Council polls. Kejriwal had announced that he would take the decision on contesting against Narendra Modi from Varanasi after the rally.
