With two more persons succumbing to Encephalitis, the death toll due to the deadly disease has gone up to 389 since April one this year, official sources said.
The additional director health, Gorakhpur division Umakant Prasad said that three new patients of viral encephalitis were admitted at the BRD Medical College Hospital here during the last 24 hours raising the total number of admitted persons this season to 1,921.
He said as many as 1,315 patients were discharged after treatment while 19 patients are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
