MeritCare Outpatient Dialysis Services, Fargo, N.D., and Detroit Lakes, Minn., has received a $7,500 grant from Dakota Medical Foundation (DMF) to help support its nutritional supplement program.
This grant matched internal support from MeritCare.
The program provides nutritional supplement drinks to kidney dialysis patients. This helps patients improve and maintain their nutritional status and quality of life while receiving treatment.
Dakota Medical Foundation, Fargo, focuses its efforts on improving health and access to medical and dental care in the region, with a special emphasis on children. Since 1996, the Foundation has invested more than $28 million in over 275 nonprofit organizations in the region.
