$250 mn for Uttarakhand Disaster Recovery Project by World Bank

The World Bank will provide an assistance of 250 million dollars for Uttarakhand Disaster Recovery Project.

A Loan Agreement was signed between the Government of India and the World Bank in New Delhi today.

The objective of the project is to restore housing, rural connectivity and build resilience of communities in Uttarakhand.

The aim is also to increase the technical capacity of the State entities to respond promptly and effectively to crisis or emergency.
